The Crux of the New Organizing Push

Being able to find and afford health care is the top concern of Americans today

This should be the crux of a new organizing effort. We need to make a decision in this country. Is healthcare tied to employment or not? It should be - and employment should mean healthcare. It should be a right fought for and won by collections of workers.

83% of low income families have a member that works. That leaves 17% if healthcare is tied to employment. That has to be less than what medicare / medicaid pay for now. Employers should be rewarded in the tax system more for healthcare than anything else.
