Kentucky Progress: Think Tank Shocker: High Income Earners Make More Money
David states that tax cuts benefit the rich because they make more money and pay more taxes.
Of course! Problem is, the same group he cites (Center for Budget and Public Policy) also has stated that regressive taxes have grown significantly. A shift here from the rich to the poor is obvious. That report is obviously dated, but I suspect that things are a lot worse after years of anti-worker Bush-a-like rule.

It is clever political gamesmanship to try to get your opponent to defend regressive taxation.
Nice try.
If you are serious about wiping out regressive taxes, though, you will take a good hard look at the Fair Tax.
Corporate taxes, passed along in the cost of all goods and services, are the real regressive taxes. The Fair Tax eliminates that problem.

First, you are not my opponent unless you are talking about Right to Work for Less glowingly.
Second, the Fair Tax does not remove the most regressive of taxes - the sin/ usage/ excise kinds.
Third, I definately agree that we need to simplify the tax system.
What we have today is an obfuscation that no one really understands or is even able to study.
